Rare antique French plate titled 'Le Baptême' from the series 'La Vie Humaine'. Made by Gien faience manufactory in the 19th century, this black transferware plate depicts a baptism scene surrounded by ornate scrolls and birds. Marked 'Gien Terre de Fer' on the back.
