A rare and collectible rectangular porcelain plaque depicting Saint Jean de Matha, co-founder of the Trinitarian Order. This finely executed portrait in underglaze cobalt blue shows the saint holding a book, draped in a traditional robe. The piece bears the inscription 'à ma fille – T. de P.' and is dated 1884, making it a valuable piece of devotional and historical significance. Marked with a heraldic shield and hand-painted signature 'T.P.'
