Exquisite hand-painted antique porcelain cachepot, dating from the late 19th century (circa 1880–1900), likely of French (Limoges) or Austrian (Vienna) origin. This rare decorative piece features a romantic pastoral scene of a young man sending a love letter by dove, surrounded by a lush countryside landscape extending around the entire vessel.
Made from high-quality glazed porcelain (not faience!), the cachepot stands on three rounded glazed feet, one of which has been discreetly restored. The vibrant, delicate brushwork, the serene mood of the scene, and the artistic quality suggest a work from a private studio or artisan workshop, possibly commissioned or one of a kind.
