Bring the charm of Meiji-era Japan into your home with this exquisite pair of antique cloisonné vases, dating to the late 19th century. Each vase stands approximately 12 cm tall and showcases a delicate butterfly and floral motif, meticulously crafted in the traditional Japanese cloisonné technique.
The vases feature deep green and coppery backgrounds, highlighted by pink and yellow flowers, as well as vivid butterflies with blue and turquoise wings. The interiors are lined in a turquoise enamel, typical of authentic Meiji-period cloisonné.
Despite some signs of age – including wear to the enamel, minor chips and surface cracks – the pair retains strong decorative appeal and displays beautifully as a set.
