This charming vintage Japanese ceramic jar with lid features whimsical figural children and richly detailed moriage-style enamel decoration. Crafted in a Kutani-inspired technique, the jar is adorned with colorful hand-painted floral motifs, gold highlights, and delicate relief details.
Three-dimensional children figures are placed on the lid and handles, giving the piece a joyful and playful character typical of Japanese export ware from the early to mid-20th century (circa 1920–1950).
The lid and body display a fine craquelure glaze, enhancing the vintage appeal. Some restoration is visible on the children’s heads, which have been carefully reattached.
Perfect as a decorative object, conversation piece, or part of an Asian ceramic collection.
